A sure bet is that M won’t be having lunch in any of the high schools that day.

Michelle Obama has rescheduled a high school graduation speech after the students complained that her appearance would prevent many of their friends and relatives from attending the ceremony. Now that's a big butt!

I have a sneaking feeling that, unless the schools make it mandatory for students to attend, which they might, the *only* students who attend will be black, punctuated by a few white children of radical leftists.
And then, if this is what happens, the students who didn’t attend will be nattered at for not attending, which they will give all the consideration it deserves. None.

The reason she wanted to go to Topeka was to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Brown vs. Board of Education. Which as we know, the subject of the suit was Topeka’s Board of Education. She wanted to make a speech about school integration, race relations, etc. She wanted publicity.

what happened was the secret service went to Topeka and discovered the city didn’t have enough food and to prevent a “Godzilla” like event, they canceled it.

Isn’t there a high school in Deetroit or Chicago that would be more appropriate for the moose?
Or in Kenya?

Besides, who would want the person that wrecked their cafeteria.

My grandson works in Topeka and he said most everybody was up in arms over it and trying to figure out exactly who invited her. Guys he works with who have seniors graduating said their kids were among those that signed the petition and had already decided they wouldn’t attend.
Might not make such a difference in a city like Los Angeles or New York but in Topeka, Kansas, it’s another matter.

Good for them. A lesson about standing up against tyranny (in any form) they'll remember their entire lives.

Just for grins I went on-line and read the recent Topeka newspaper article re Moochelle’s appearance. Guess I shouldn’t have been surprised at all the comments touting what a great sacrifice she had made by changing her schedule, what an awesome first lady she is, and how it is such a great honor that she wanted to come to Topeka.
And then people wonder how Kansas could have had a governor such as Sillibus, particularly since it is so Red now. Would appear that at least a good portion of Topeka is still Democrat and, of course, the University of Kansas right down the road has turned into a very liberal leaning college.
It’s amazing.
