To be fair, I'm not sure the Richmond police could have offered much about an ongoing investigation even if they had been asked. But a system too paralyzed by fear of being accused of homophobia let this clown slide right into the place he wanted. It's a problem, and it's getting worse.

Mira Vista Elementary School hired him while he was under investigation for the sexual abuse. Background check not working very well.
Yes, but I’m not sure a background check would have turned that up. I’m not sure the police are at liberty to comment on an ongoing investigation. Could be wrong, I really don’t know the law in that state.
I actually met Singer once right before the first X-men was filmed. The group that he runs with don’t act “gay” at all in public.
