I knew a guy who was a paper hanger. He was so good at it they sent him on a sabbatical to an exclusive California resort. San Quentin it was, I believe.

We've been "camping in" for a week after returning from visiting friends Resurrection Sunday night (about midnight) and my wife woke up about a quarter mile from home and asked me why we were going to our old address and I slapped my head (for about the millionth time in the last 6 weeks) and our brief argument over how senile I had become settled on ... we might as well go and sleep there, it's not THAT cold ...

The MH had been delivered and stabilized on the pad but not blocked up, so the first thing I did was commandeer a neighbor Monday and get the thing up 2 blocks high.

After a week of trying to be productive in a constant on and off rain, I got the 220 side of my generator extensioned into my dryer plug, backfeeding the house.

unfortunately, my little 3500 watt isn't capable of doing anything to an all electric house except fire up the outlets and lights ... but THAT'S a heck of a lot better than tripping over three extension cords (using the 120 side) and breaking the bulbs in the lamps connected to the cords I trip over and listening to my wife accuse me of be old and clumsy

I am

But I don't need to hear it from her

/8^)

No phone yet because there's no electric service because I am forced to use Comcast (rural) and their modem needs electric, etc.

Sewage drain complete and I lifted the trailer another block high ( was 2, now 3 ) because it's easier for an old and clumsy man to maneuver under the house.

Got the plumbing for the well system figured out and ready for electric service (same thing .. little 3500 watt etc.)
( city trailer, never plumbed for a well) and waiting for the electric from the pole

Speaking of which, I got the existing service meter disconnect transferred from an older pole to a new, class 5 utility pole we installed two weeks ago, 4 ft in the ground cemented and hoping the elect company will approve my work and sign off on the re-installation of the meter (plug a new one in) ... trying to skirt (by grandfathering) the new FCC meters that tell the gummint what'cher' 'lectric usage is .... now THERE'S a prayer you can pray

Today is the first real nice day since last August and we returned to my son in law and daughter's house for a shower and clothes washing, do a little shopping visit DAD tomorrow to (again) praise and thank HIM for all HIS blessings.

We should be able to complete most of what we need to do to START to re-coup life next week and I can begin to replace all my tools I lost ( don't ask ... it's like losing both arms)

God is good and HIS faithful servants continue to be used

Will probably need help in transferring pics from my camera and cell phone to the internet but that is like SOOOO far down the line (in perspective)

God bless you all until next week's installment

(PS .. we REALLY do appreciate the continued support though not as dire as in the beginning . . . . not realizing until this how much is involved with just putting pieces back together ... Thank You All So Much !
I promise to be honest and say "stop" soon)
