He’s a lefty with just some minor swelling.

The fastest baseball I EVER threw was 79 MPH. My arm hurt from my shoulder to the tips of my fingers for 3 days.

The fastest pitcher I have ever seen was a kid who I think dropped out of school in the 8th grade. We were warming up before a pasture ball game.

I don’t think this kid had ever played organized baseball but he threw so hard that it actually scared me. To put that in perspective, I played on a high school team with a guy who later became the number one pitcher for the University of Florida and he was no where near as fast.

I still wonder what a pro team could have done with him.

I’m just guessing it was around 90 mph, but I threw it all the way from deep left field directly to home plate to prevent a run from coming in. It was a line drive like you’d hit with a bat, surprising everyone including myself. I did use to pump some iron. It knocked the glove off the catcher’s hand, two runs went in, and we lost the game.

I was throwing 92 in college before I got hurt. I hit a guy in the ribs one time on an 0-2 count and he told me it broke two of them.
