Practice makes perfect.....post on....
xsfiance was wondering where the Easter Bunny and eggs thing came from and how it became associated with Easter, none of us knew.
Traditionally, boys throw water over girls and spank them with pussy willow branches on Easter Monday,
Have you given any thought to xsfiance’s nomenclature after the wedding?
i would say xsSIL but that is what i call my sis in law. will have to think on him.
xsflyerfan. Just sayin’...
So they started the wet t-shirt contests?
perfect! and can be shortened to xsFF!
he is his own brand of bizarre. he asked that we dvr the flyers game yesterday since it was on at noon and we went to noon Mass. he also asked that no one refer to the results, bc he likes to watch as if it was live. we came home and got dinner ready and served and we ate, So the rest of us looked at our phones to see how it came out and were pantomiming around his back to xsteen that they had actually won, so she could relax about it. xshub has the nerve to think xsfiance is bizarre. and xsboy was “why does he want to deprive himself of information that other people have??” LOL! oh and xsboy was sad about Barry too, he follows a lot of Preds blogs etc. and said how everyone was perplexed about his firing.
that is one heavy dose of shenanigans
Yes, after they have been collected and washed. There is no hurry to collect the eggs and get them in the fridge. If i gather them, i usually just leave them out for my wife to wipe them down at her convenience.
And what is the normal shelf life of the eggs? I don’t even know what it is for reg groc store eggs but we go through them pretty quickly bc we love eggs.
Yes, it’s a very big deal here in the area I’ve attended many a Dyngus Day celebration in my ill-spent youth, not so much anymore ;)
Bet the missus misses those pussy willow thrashings ; )
I think we both know the answer to that one.
I thought I mentioned that earlier in the thread too.
6 weeks, but they don’t last that long in my house. Probably 2 weeks, tops before they are eaten.
“boys throw water over girls and spank them with pussy willow branches”
Is it just me, or does this not sound like good wholesome fun? The jokes could just write themselves, too-where is Mr. Spanky when you need him?
I looked that up once online, and it was sort of boring-something about German hares, giving up eggs for Lent, and over here, the 18th Pennsylvania Dutch...
It was a lovely afternoon, even if I didn’t find the park. And the gone-wild mint I picked has a better, more pungent flavor than my planted stuff-I made some tea, steeping sprigs of it and some crushed lemon rind, and even the aroma was just delicious.
