Possibly because folks here know that Massachusetts has sunk to such depths of moral/ethical/legal depravity that there's literally nothing that can be done.

I can only speak for myself, but the story gets no traction with me because Justina's mother looks like a flaming example of Munchhausen's Syndrome by Proxy (or whatever this syndrome is called today).

This doesn't mean I put any trust whatsoever in the State of Taxachusetts, nor in Child Protective Services, nor in doctors, nor in hospitals, nor in officious social workers. On the contrary, really, because I have been on the receiving end of abuse from some of those entities myself.

However I have also seen mothers who make their children sick, because of their own extremely disordered personalities. Often the fathers in these cases go along with the delusional mother for the sake of keeping relative peace in the family.

I'm sorry for the daughter, and also sorry for the decent but naive people who have gotten sucked into the crazy scam, like Mike Huckabee.

It is possible she is undergoing physical therapy which can be grueling. The pushing she is talking about in that case would not be actual physical pushing, but urging her to do more therapy when she wants to quit, which is what PTs do and yes, physical therapy does hurt sometimes. I would like to see a copy of the entire note, not just one part of it.
