There are literally thousands of Sears and Roebuck kit homes still standing in this country from back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. An awful lot of them were built around towns and villages where railroads were expanding. The kits were shipped via railroad so it just worked out.

Bunch are in Kansas.

I have a 1921 Sears & Roebuck kit home. It was the first one built in my neighborhood.
