A five-game drought is over as the Pens' Evgeni Malkin scores his 2nd goal in the first Period off the crossbar on the PP
as Pittsburgh leads the Blue Jackets 2-0 at the 1st Intermission in Game 6 in Columbus, looking to closeout the Series.
I dislike seeing these game 6 collapses with CBJ, for some reason I feel like we could see that in the Avalanche at Wild game as well even though both are at home.
That was a real surprise in the Anaheim/Dallas game last night. Those last second goals have happened about 4 times in all of these post-season games and I think in all cases, the team that scored last won the OT. They have all the momentum.
Still lots of time and no matter what, Columbus has played a good series, if they can just get a goal to build on now being down 3-0.
Tampa Bay got swept, but 3 of the 4 games were close. At least 1 went to OT.
Even if a good number of Montreal Canadiens fans are scalawags, that franchise has some history. They are definitely a bit like the English soccer clubs that have been around for so long, the only game in town.
Pittsburgh's Brandon Sutter converts a shorthanded goal early in the 2nd Period, then Malkin registers his Hat-trick
late in the frame to put the Pens up 4-0 by the second Intermission of Game 6 in Columbus over the Blue Jackets.
