I’m a little late to your party, Airborne but here I am in the Redwingnut section rootin’ for the boys from Hockeytown USA as usual. The Wings beat the Bruins 3 of 4 times in the regular season so here’s to a Wings/Pens matchup for the East Championship.

Next, the Wings beat the Blackhhawks in six games at the Joe where the team hoists The Stanley Cup for the twelfth time.

Incredible game, too bad there was no way I could stay up to watch the game to its conclusion. At least we’re able to download game clips from the NHL site…

As a longtime Sabres’ follower, I’m glad for Ryan Miller in his first playoff appearance since 2007 – he looked pretty tight during the first period letting in the three goals, but then shut the door for 80+ minutes & made some fantastic saves to help the Blues finally come out on top. Nice play also by ex-Buffalo captain Steve Ott to set up the GWG by Steen in the 3rd OT.

I’m hoping Detroit pushes Boston to a Game 7.

Boston appears to be the favorite, and I have them winning the series. But I can’t stand them, so I’m pulling for Detroit.

In my bracket I have my Penguins beating the Avs in 6, and hoisting the Cup.

No, they don’t. I don’t know why they gave away Gaborik for a used puck bag. And I would rather they had drawn Boston or the Rangers. I think the Pens are the worst matchup possible for the Jackets.

I would have liked to see a CBJ/Rags first round matchup. But I do think playing Pittspuke was preferable to a matchup with Boston. If the CBJ don't lose their legs in game 2 like they did in game 1, their hitting game will and did get to Pittsburgh until they got tired.

I think my Wings can make it a series against Boston, but without Z and Ericcson it is going to be tough to battle Boston's front lines
