The Rangers' Brian Boyle breaks the ice in the First Period of deciding Game 7, going through the 5-hole on Pens G Fleury.
New York has the lead 1-0 at the first Intermission against Pittsburgh, with the winner on to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Pittsburgh's Jussi Jokinen converts a big rebound from Henrik Lundqvist by the goaltender to even the score early in the 2nd Period
but midway through, Rangers F Brad Richards fires one in from the near-slot to put New York up 2-1 over the Pens at the Intermission.
The New York Rangers' mob G Henrik Lundqvist as the clock hits 0:00 & they complete the incredible upset of Pittsburgh
with a 2-1 victory over the Pens in Game Seven after a series deficit of 3 games to 1. They face the BOS/MTL winner in Round 3.
bummed
Tough loss Pens fans. I know how you feel. Congrats Rangers and fans for hanging in there to upset the favored team.
Cheers,
Otter

Hawks move on. I was very impressed with the Wild in the postseason. They have some exiting young players that have blossomed. If they can get a solid everyday goalie we will be seeing a lot more of them. And hopefully not in those nauseating red jerseys. They should stick with the green and cream.
Pens lost I’m so bummed.
Tonight I will cheer on Montreal but I would favor Boston to win if I were a betting man.
Montreal's Dale Weise draws first blood in Period 1 of Game Seven at Boston with a tip-in past Bruins' G Tuukka Rask
to give the Canadiens a 1-0 lead at the first Intermission. The winner hosts the N.Y. Rangers in the East Conference finals.
Looking good for the Habs. 3-1. 2:22 left in the 3rd.
Montreal up by two, Go Habs!
"Hey Boston....U Mad, Bro!"
You know there were lot of Habs fans who wanted Therrien fired when he benched Subban earlier in the season. Subban responded the right way. Therrien knows what he’s doing.
Now with all my teams out, I’m rootin’ for the Blackhawks.
Looks like a lot of the favorites are going to be watching.
Price looks solid. And so does Lundqvist.
Should be an interesting series.
All the top seeds are dropping like flies
You've got #4 vs. #5 in the East, and if L.A. turns the trick it would be #5 vs. #6 in the West.
