Congrats to Fleury on the all-time Playoff SO record but the Pens’ superb overall play made his job light ... I’ve hardly seen the ice more slanted for one team, or a better performance in goal than Lundqvuist tonight.
Lundqvist was under siege all night. Not his fault the Rangers lost. He played out of his mind.
What was with Boyle’s cheap shot on Malkin at the end?
So I am seeing Penguins/Rangers game #3 is already Monday night. Too rushed if this is so. Not a day off.

10:00 ET, Kings at Ducks.
Apologies, see the times listed above in a previous post, point remains, they certainly are hurrying game 3.
Henrik played exceptionally.
If not for him, it could have easily been 6-0.
As for Boyle, the referees were letting NY get away with a lot of stuff that should have been called so it’s not surprising they took as much as they were given.
On to Madison Square Garden!
Penguins @ Rangers is tonight because of a scheduling conflict in NY.
The Garden was already reserved so they had to squeeze it in when they could.
I have no doubt it was something Malkin did earlier. We’ve seen him instigate lots of things and then skate away and hide behind his teammates and let them fight his battles for him.
Here’s P.K. Subban’s response to this screed - what a classy guy...
The Rangers looked gassed Last night, and it’s amazing the score was as close as it was. The Playoff calendar certainly isn’t favoring them this Series, and offers a prime opportunity for the Pens to take control.
But I can tell from reading Malkin’s lips that he’s picked up a fair amount of English...
That was my comment to my son the Pens fan. You know, the guy everyone on campus at Purdue sees wearing the Malkin jersey...
But yes, the Pens have a little more rest and the Rangers schedule is brutal. While it always comes down to goaltending, tonight will be interesting. Does Lundqvist have another stellar performance in him after playing great while under siege the night before?
Can the always problematic Fleury put together back-to-back games?
I could see one of these guys getting yanked in the first period, and if I were to bet, it would be Henrik just because the Pens have the fresher legs.
The Hallelujah Chorus resounds as the Pens' Sidney Crosby breaks his personal Playoff drought early in the second Period
to open the scoring in Game 3 of their series vs. the Rangers. At the second Intermission, Pittsburgh leads New York 2-0
Crosby scores!
Fleury posts back-to-back shut outs!
And it felt like I was holding my breath the last 2 minutes of the game!
(let me know if you want on or off the ping list)

Is it time to write the Ducks’ obituary?
Looks like it may be a “Quick” death at that!
