Here in California, Waffle House, Cracker Barrel and Dunkin’ Donuts are effectively unknown in terms of real places to eat (though Dunkin’ Donuts coffee beans are sold in California).
Of the joints you brought up, only the Waffle House, and Chick fil’A are the kinds of places you’d never feel weird about taking your family.
Not that Dunkin’ and Cracker are skeevie, they have simply decided to serve up politics with their meals.
With Chick fil’A, their troubles started when someone criticized them about being closed on Sundays. That’s when their CEO got pulled into it. (Good for him for sticking to his guns - his business increased substantially and he got millions of free advertising).
Too bad the BSA decided to buckle. Their business is off 25% in Tiger Cubs, and 10 percent over all.
