Please hold a bien-pensant (the literal translation from the French) for me today as I ship the last of my Mom’s possessions home and board a flight back to Wisconsin. Mom left this earthly this earthly vail yesterday morning, and my husband and I have spent the last 24 hours sorting and packing her things — 13 boxes.
