Can someone explain to me how Tiger Woods can still be the #1 player?
Unless they are not talking about Golf.
I'm not certain of the precise formula, but the calculation is a running total of points from event to event, and from season to season. Tiger has accumulated enough (based on numerous wins last year) that simply being out of commission for a tournament or two doesn't automatically bump you off the podium.
