Well, I am reading the books right now and so far there has not been near as much “soft porn” as in the show. But I have only seen Season One thus far. In the books there is mention of sex here and there, it’s not been over done. Just a few words here and there.

There is a big difference between text and tv/film. Reading, "Jane walked into the Walmart and took all her clothes off," is very different from watching a film of Jane walking into the Walmart and taking all her clothes off. It would take a lot of words to describe everything that is seen in the situation.

Even more so, text vs. film, if the situation is, "Jane walked into the Walmart, took all her clothes off, and then had sex with Bob in the laundry-detergent aisle."

The books do not have much sexual description. With the exception of the marriage of Danarys and her husband in the first book. He mostly implies the sexual acts without graphic detail.

I tried to watch the series until the gay sex came up. I do not watch that. It amazes me HBO seems to be under the impression folks want to watch that trash.
