More weirdness on Mars. While I don't believe life is on Mars, other than maybe microbial, this does tickle my sci-fi side with thoughts of an underground civilization

It looks like a luminous jet or plume of some sort. If it’s reflected glint, it should only be visible during a brief time of day when the sun angle is just right.

It looks like a point source of bright light that was distorted by the lens system. Cropping of the photo makes this less than obvious.
