MOZILLA** Interesting posting from an Insider
Pastebin ^ | Apr 7th, 2014 | Mozilla Developer

Posted on 04/07/2014 11:00:55 AM PDT by Bikkuri

Hello. I am member of Mozilla's development team and these postings here lately force me now to react. Let me first clarify one thing. I do that because someone has finally to speak out some things... Things which should clearly brought out to the public....

First, the incident about our short time CEO Eich..... many of us do NOT agree with what has happened. There has been a massive amount of pressure inside and outside of Mozilla which brought him to resign from his post.

About the ads in the new tab page... Our reasoning for this is to make us more independent moneywise and influence wise from Google Inc. - the problem is, even with that we still are unable to break free of Google in so many ways sadly!

About Australis and the so called chrome similarity: In business you have to make some compromise to get your income, there are quite a lot dependencies which often stand in the way what you can do or not do!

BUT: I really would lie if i would now say that there would be no suggestions/recommendation/expectancies coming from the side of Google Inc towards us in terms of general feature request or UI features. Which leads to Australis. I can say, without Google Australis would be a hell of more customizable as it is as end result. Again.. many do not agree with Google's influence and would like to see the relationship between Google Inc. and Mozilla terminated!

And last but not least towards this political boycott... Eich's departure is NOT the whole sickness, it is only part of the symptoms which are plaguing Mozilla. Mozilla as it is right now is torn into half. One half often does not like what the other half is planning. This and the massive amount of Third Party organization influence since a long time is leading to things like that which are damaging in a massive way Mozilla's reputation!

In the end many of us as i said do not agree with most of the above mentioned problems, the reason nobody is complaing is because it is like in every other business... criticize the leaders and you are history!

If you really feel the need for a boycott... Do it against Australis, do it against Google's influence and the influence of the ads industry into Mozilla! Stay with Firefox 28 instead of 29 or stay with Seamonkey. Drop your Google Mail, stop use Google search, write Google a message in their groups that you dislike their direct influence in many of Mozilla's business/developement decisions! We have to get independent again!

Some adresses where you can write: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/mozilla.governance https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/firefox-dev

Or feel free to write your protest to #mozilla or #firefox over Twitter or contact people like Mitchell Baker.

Again... boycotting because of political reasons changes NOTHING - not when the sickness which plagues the construct goes much more deeper! Don't forget with enough support we can change nearly everything! Help us get healthy again, help us break free of limitations we are suffering right now!

After all we are Mozilla - Doing good is part of our code! And we still have not stopped to be the good guys!

With kind regards!

“Is English a second language for most Mozilla employees?”

He wasn’t hired for his mastery of English.
I wish I had his skills in computerese.
I believe this guy. He sounds like an insider who wants to be free of Google.

If he is correct in the divisions in Mozilla, then hopefully this cretin of a CEO will soon be out the door.

Though I feel bad for the guy who got a forced retirement, I’m sure he is smart enough to find his medicine of cold revenge.

Mitchell Baker.

Mitchell Baker.

Mitchell Baker.

Quoth Rush in today's opening segment:

I'm still not through with this. Just couple more things that I want to run by. I read again the statement from the babe at Mozilla. Listen to this paragraph. I read this to you last week. "Mozilla believes both in equality and free speech." No, you don't! You do not believe in equality and freedom of speech!

I burst out laughing when I heard the word "babe".

I looked at downloading PM but they are only for Windows and I use Linux. Looks like a good browser though.

Pale Moon is also available for Linux, in some cases pre-built. In other cases (distros) you will have to compile it yourself.

That is the same I got from it.

I am trying not to count the chickens before they hatch here... but, at least for those computer savvy in the states, this just pened up a BIG door. Also read reports of Spain (online) protesters (think they make a twitter named #NoZilla), but I don’t do social websites, so not for sure..

Between the JCPenny, Hobby Lobby, Chick-a-Fillet crap... hopefully this incident will open up more eyes (on the open-source computing side). I have been with them since before they were even here (Netscape.. and there was one before that called Mosaic.. I was still BBSing at the time.. didn’t pay too much attention to the ‘new’ thing).

About him moving on... I am looking forward to it.. and I hope he comes out “guns-a-blazing” with a new open source browser... I will volunteer to be a guinea pig.

There is a Linux version out.. but I am running the Win version on my Linux until they put it in a Linux repository (WINE).

Works fine on wine, and, as a matter of fact, adds another layer of security :D

Screw Google. Screw Mozilla. They are both bottomless pits of leftist dementia.

THAT is what I am waiting for to happen.. Many of us have been waiting for this to implode for a decade+ (and not talking specifically about Mozilla/FireFox).

I have a Snow Leopard disc on the way.

I went through that process a year and a half ago. It was a bit of a hassle because I couldn't find Snow Leopard to order on the Apple Store website. It had gone off support earlier in the year, as I recall. I ended up having to call Apple support.

Hello [cynwoody],

Thanks for calling today. I am sure you will enjoy your new Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. I have included the number to customer service if you need any assistance with this order as well as the number to Applecare for technical support.

Cust. Service 1(800) 676-2775
Applecare 1(800) 275-2273

Keep in mind that if you have any further questions about Apple products you can call me directly or send me an email. I can serve as your dedicated and personal Mac Expert for the Apple store. I'll make sure you are aware of all the resources Apple has for you and work hard to find the best solution that is right for your specific needs.

Thanks,

James Pickett
Mac Expert
jpickett@apple.com
866-254-8313 ext. 42914 or

James was knowledgeable and got it done, but he was hard to reach.

Totally agree. I have supported Mozilla for decades because of their ‘projected’ beliefs. Google has been avoided on my side for at lease a decade... Mozilla is now on the avoid list.

The queers/fascists have taken over almost every aspect of our own lives... We need to stand up and stop them.

The interesting thing here is the Google connection. Lost in the Eich thing was the fact that the Google representative on World Vision just resigned from the board (and presumably Google is stopping its monetary support) because World Vision reversed its position endorsing the homosexual agenda. My strong suspicion is that happened in the first place because of strong and coordinated pressure against World Vision by Google and Microsoft (which also has a member on the board), probably also in connection with pressure from the Obama administration to pull federal assistance given through the USAID program.

Immediately prior to World Vision saying it would accept homosexual “marriage,” it announced it had gotten a $10 million donation from Microsoft.

I do believe that google has pressured Mozilla. Mozilla could’ve stood on principle but they didn’t. So they are no better than google.
