Heh, heh, I was stationed in Germany with a sergeant major who must have been there since the occupation. When he hit mandatory retirement & was finally headed stateside, someone asked him how he was ever going to get re accustomed to drinking American beer.

He replied he was going to take a German beer & gradually start adding Clorox!

This was no exaggeration as Budweiser tasted like fizzy chemical froth compared to any local beer made according to the `Reinigungsgesetz’ which is said to be the oldest continually enforced law in the world.

It states that beer will consist of nothing other than water, barley, yeast & hops.

Hey, why not buy “imported” beers?

Funny story when I was in Stockholm a few years back — they stocked imported American beers. They had a pretty good selection — Fat Tire, Boulder Beer. Just a couple of miles from my home.

Some of the local to the States beers are pretty good. Just avoid the pi$$ beers.
