Looks like UConn was our Kryptonite. Their guards were simply much better.

Rare that a team’s last two losses in a season are to the same team.

Bad enough seeing FSU win the football title, now I have to watch Kentucky win the basketball title.

I was just thinking maybe the Gators shouldn’t come back to DFW again...two years in a row now they’ve bowed out here.

It seems to me their kryptonite was their soft schedule and overly high rating, plus a dash of Barky's incapacity to be right thrown in the mix.
They were also fortunate with their seeding and who they played to get to the four. I really think any of the other elite eight teams would have beat them just as readily. They simply can't deal well with a team that can handle their pressure and the rest of those teams would have eaten the pressure up and handed it back on a plate.
That being said, kudos to coach Donovan and his team for such a fine season.
I do feel sorry for poor Michigan State, Barky handed them the kiss of death with his bracket. Who knew he could empower UConn to the final.........

I will be the first to say they definitely overachieved.
They played well as a team, and they have a great coach, and that can get you far, however, eventually you’ve got to have the talent to win it all, and that was a bit lacking in the end.
The 04s were a much, much more talented bunch than these guys. But still, three elite eights and a Final Four, not too shabby.

One of the top coaches, seemingly with class as well.
The tournament was wide open this year, no clear favorite, thought any of seven teams from the eight, plus a couple of others might have won give or take a bounce or two.
What a year.

Did any of Obama’s Final Four picks make it to the Final Four?
