We’re seeing turkeys here on the drive to the plant every day. My colleagues want to use their iphone turkey calls.

What will they do if a tom charges them? Something just obliterated an owl in my neighbor’s yard yesterday. We’re not sure what it was but it left very little evidence. Feathers and part of a shredded thorax. Pretty gruesome sight.

I’ve walked up within 100 feet or so of a small flock or wild turkeys a couple of times on the riverbank in the last 10 days or so. They stared at me and walked off into the woods-but if it was Fall, I probably wouldn’t have gotten within 100 yards before they spooked-like they know when the season opens...
