FULL TITLE: Family of teenage boy 'killed by girlfriend's father after sneaking into her bedroom' demand that SHE is charged
Family and friends of the teenage boy who was shot to death by his girlfriend's father after sneaking into her bedroom are demanding that the girlfriend be charged with accessory to murder or involuntary manslaughter.
A group of the 17-year-old Johran McCormick's supporters, including his mother Zakia McCormick and community activist Quanell X, rallied on Wednesday morning outside the home near Houston, Texas where authorities say the teenager was killed on March 13.
Investigators have said McCormick's 16-year-old girlfriend let him into the house on Bridgestone Ridge Dr. in Spring, Texas.

The 17 year old knew he was doing something wrong, sneaking into the house. When caught he then argued with the father. He was in no position to argue, he was in a position of get the hell out, nothing more, nothing less. You don’t sneak into someone’s house and argue with them when caught at 2:30 AM.
I don’t care who he claimed invited him, he still snuck in and sought to deceive. He’s dead because he didn’t just get out, as any young man capable of shame would have done. Is the daughter guilty of something? Yes, she is. She falsely claimed she didn’t know him. Would the shooting not have occurred, had she admitted that she knew him and had actually invited him in, participating in the deception? We’ll never know.
What we do know is, the father found an unknown male in his own house in the middle of the night, the apparent intruder claimed his daughter invited him, she denied it, unknown male proceeds to argue with the father, then appeared to be reaching for a weapon. Father shot him dead. No racial angle, father is black.
If there’s any culpability here outside of the deceased, it actually is the daughter, not the father. So, they’re right to an extent, much as it dismays me to end up on the same side of a community organizer named Quanell X.
Not me. This father isn’t a danger to society and prison would be a wrecking ball paid for by taxpayers that served no useful purpose.
It’s a tragedy all the way around, but there is no public good served by prosecuting this criminally. It should be handled civilly as a wrongful death suit.
I put full culpability on Quanell X and Zakia. I’m demanding that THEY be charged, too.
Don’t forget the culpability of Sabryna Fulton (or whatever the he** her name is - Trayvon’s mama)!
I remember this event. Daughter secretly had boyfriend over in the wee hours, son sees boyfriend hiding in her room and informs dad. Dad comes in withe weapon and catches daughter and boyfriend en flagrante. Dad asks daughter if she knows the boyfriend.
SHE DENIES KNOWING HIM.
Dad keeps weapon trained on boyfriend while he calls cops, boyfriend makes a sudden move, dad shoots boyfriend dead.
Daughter did play an active role in this. Most states could recognize her as an accomplice to some kind of manslaughter charge.
Up to the DA whether on close inspection a prosecution is warranted. Her deceit contributed to dad’s assessment that the boyfriend was an intruder and in fact rapist. Daughter could easily be charged -in most states-.
My teenage sons are now grown men—with wives and children. If they had spent their teen years unsupervised, as this boy was doing, they may not have been shot, but they would certainly not be the responsible husbands/fathers they are today.
She probably cost him his life althouigh we will never know. She tries to save herself and throws the guy under the bus so daddy shoots him. Both kids are low-lifes. Both should pay. He already paid with his life. .

Although the young man was invited by the girl,the fact that he was hiding indicates that he knew the father didn’t want him there. So,while there is plenty of blame to go around, it all goes back to the young man’s actions.
She probably is, and they have a point.
Dad thought his daughter was raped rather than a slut.
Go back and read closer. Heck, try reading even the headline.
They want the girl charged, not the father.
And absolutely this is a wrongful death and the party who brought it about was little miss drops- her-britches.
If I am on the jury, the girl pays. Pays big. Payments start when she is 18 and not a dime comes from daddy.
This seems like a move in the right direction. Women are constantly crying “rape” and getting away with it. It’s not good for the real victims of this horrific crime.

Sometimes there are consequences for actions.
The boy suffered those consequences.
The tramp daughter hopefully will be remorsefull for a long long time. That should be punishment enough
How not to succeed in America. Give the things you breed Non American sounding names - like DaQuan, Trayvon, JaMarcus. Also, let them roam the streets all hours of the night and make sure the sperm donor is not around.
At 2 in the morning my boys are in there room unless they are camping or firefighting in the boat. If they were ever in a girl’s room at that hour, they better be married.
Exactly. This aggrieved mama sent her son off to do “spring break” in whatever town he pleased. And she’s surprised he turned up dead? I doubt it.

If my boys had spring break (they are homeschooled), they would be with me on a job site, or with my better half (to those of you in Rio Linda, a wife) or with us both. They won’t be running around at night acting like THUGS.
