"A Connecticut community college suspended a student veteran for his aggressive questioning of Democratic Gov. Dannel Malloy during a public forum,....
Shortly thereafter, Saucier received notice from the administration that he was suspended on grounds that his continued presence on campus would present a danger to the persons, property and/or academic process of the College....
The college attempted to persuade Saucier to plead guilty to the charges and undergo counseling. He refused, opting instead for a formal hearing. At the hearing, administrators refused to let him play his recorded video, which he argued would acquit him by showing that he did nothing wrong. Saucier was found guilty of all charges. His suspension was lifted, but any further trouble from him and he will be expelled, administrators said..... The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education has accused ACC of violating Sauciers free speech and due process rights by disciplining him for speaking his mind and subjecting him to a sham trial....
ACCs myriad violations of Nicholas Sauciers rights, effective rewriting of its conduct procedures, and failure to rectify its errors should give all Americans great concern, said Peter Bonilla, director of FIREs Individual Rights Defense Program, in a statement. [H/T instapundit]

Sue the bastards!
What do you mean the camps aren't open? Maybe not yet...
Four words:
Civil
Rights
Law
Suit
Free speech for me but not for thee if thy words offend our ears.
Tyranny in Academia demonstrates how far the liberals have dominated and perverted the original concept of open inquiry and discussion that was the foundation of the concepts of “Callege” and “University”!
Are these people trying out for commandant positions at FEMA camps.
He’s better off not being in that cesspool.
This won’t end well for the college.
Clarification of the ‘school’ involved; Asnuntuck Community College.
So... questioning an elected official is now an “offense.”
The brave new world of “New Amerika.”
I know that there is a good economic reason for staying in Connecticut (one’s job is there), but aside from that, I see no reason to live there.
Having relatives there seems to me to be a weak reason. We have telephones, the Internet and automobile, bus, train and air transportation by means of keeping in touch.
If it’s not your job keeping you there, you really ought to think in terms of your basic freedoms and leave that miserable state.
Free speech. As long as it’s approved free speech.
Surrender your rights on campus...
In a sane America, that would have been true.
They have a few ways of forcing compliance.
they suspend you from school
they make you attend a reeducation camp
they sic the IRS on you
they look in your private information on government computers and leak it to the press
they accuse you of racism
Fascism.
Democratic looney tunes
His main problem was that he did not incite 20 other students to occupy the college admin building, trash the offices and spray paint graffiti everywhere...
Oh, and he forgot to wear his “Che” tee shirt... or maybe a “Rainbow Coalition” shirt.
“Why not just summarily send him to a re-education camp?”
Now you’re talking comrade. He should be frightened into complying with the agenda.
/Sarcasm/
