WYOMING – An animal exodus at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming has residents and tourist wondering if they know something they don’t.

Bison and many other animals are leaving Yellowstone in droves, and its prompting theories that minor earthquakes in the area could soon set off the Yellowstone Super Volcano.

A series of smaller quakes have hit the region over the past few weeks, and the more earthquakes hit an area, the more chances a volcano may be activated from its dormant state

We have snow in these mountains year round. All I have to do is dig below the ashline and filter what’s underneath.

I’ve been planning this since 9-11-01.

Buffalo have been running so hard from Yellowstone, that they’ve been running into cars...for at least a year and a half!

Where do you think ground water comes from? It will simply run off. The ash becomes cement, non porous. Any rain will absorb about an inch, and just wash away.

And how are you going to pump? There will be no power. Anything sitting out on the lawn will be buried.

Really, think about six to ten feet of cement falling from the sky in an hour. Everywhere. And it’s boiling hot.

It’s not “lava” that will kill you. It’s ash plumes.

Again, this is all hypothetical. I don’t think it will happen. But the scale of a full blown caldera super volcano is one of those things that is literally incomprehensible.

Just watched the video taken from a man in a car. Large numbers of those animals at a full trot.

Bob Newhart did some downright filthy stand up. Buddy Hacket was another.

All the best old true comedians could be filthy as hell with an all adult audience, the difference was they were capable of being truly funny without any swearing or filth for the family audience. Nowadays the vast majority of so called comedians are only capable of using pejorative.

Do you think President Obama will be OK if it blows?

You think the ash is powder? Think about glacial snow pack—how fluffy white snow turns to glacial ice.

The first good rain and the ash turns to rock. Cement. About six feet thick. Everywhere. In everything. No machine is going to work five minutes without choking.

Small volcanoes like mt St. Helens screwed up that area for years. That would be the pimple on a super caldera explosions little brothers ass.

Yeah. A good 45-70 would have been quite handy right about then and there..

Yeah if it's loaded right, I was hunting with my Father in law once(God bless him) and he had started cutting powder because the kick was hurting, had a deer 50 yds dead center of a clearing in front of him and the round hit the ground ten feet in front of it. We laughed, him not so much.

Where does the water come from? You think it simply emerges from the rock? The surface will be sealed. Water will no longer go where it used to go. Most of it will simply wash away. You will be fine for a season.

But as I said to the other guy, how are you going to draw the water up? Where are you getting the power? Every line, above or below ground will be buried. Every generator or transformer will be buried or choked.

Nope, the generator in your garage will work until it runs out of power.

I think Obama blows anyway. I don’t care about him now. I cannot imagine caring anymore then.

Yeah but after something like that, if they tried again I think the result would be people planting greenies.

As I’ve said. We’re good if it happens.
Plenty of food, water and ammo.

(Unless someone has already, “Claimed,” it. Then, we’ll have to deal with half of what was in dispute......until we get the chance to rip someone’s throat out with our teeth)

That is bad, that is very bad if suddenly they are leaving. Animals always have awareness of things that we do not. They have to have it.

OY, I hate Obama, but I don’t want his “Katrina” to be 1/2 the US blowing up real bad.

The maps I saw indicated the Pacific Northwest, northern California and a good portion of coastal southern California will be ok.

Not so sure about the food supply. And the North Dakota oil fields would be under ash. Can't even imagine what a catastrophe this would be.

“Bob Newhart did some downright filthy stand up. Buddy Hacket was another.”

The worst of the worst has to be Bob Saget. Somebody warned me about him and hubby and I did once see him on some HBO thing (I suppose.)

Just filthy beyond belief, I was glad that I’d be warned, otherwise my head might have exploded. Not funny, it was just too disgusting and I’m pretty easy going about stuff like that.

I’ll tell you what I loved though, National Lampoons Dirty Movie. Just one corny old joke after another, hubby was laughing at me laughing at the movie. It isn’t really that dirty, but not for kids, obviously.

Yes, I’d have said buffalo herd but they didn’t say buffalos, I love Roger Miller songs. :-)

Just remember no skating. Actually listened to that song just this afternoon.

What strikes me, looking at the video of the buffalo running down the road is that they somehow know to use the right hand lane!
