Well, it’s year two of the 4x4 experiment. My first box I added new compost and planted beans, artichokes and left some room for the tomatoes I will be planting in the next week. Also have a basil plant in there which may or may not be dead.

In my second box, I still have carrots, beets, broccoli that is now flowering and lettuce that somehow managed to survive the winter. I will let those go another 2-3 weeks and see if I get anything. Going to add more compost to that one and go with salad.

What I am interested in learning about is fruit trees. If anyone can provide insight on what I can plant in central Texas I would appreciate it. I am also going to build another 4x4 next weekend and use that strictly for root veggies.

Thanks. I will keep my eye open for flint and a small piece of steel.
I don’t have a clothes dryer. And I am trying to think of who might save dryer lint for me (and not think I am whacked).
Does pocket lint count? I can generate some serious pocket lint.
