Would you recommend 8 over 7 ?

Which version of 7 is best ?

Win8 is easier to get than 7 anymore. As much as I love 7, I will be going to 8.1 when I build my new gaming machine. Microsoft realized the error of their ways with the ~~Metro~~ "Modern" interface and packages 8.1 with the standard desktop. The search capabilities are much more enhanced, and you'll get used to Win8, I believe. If you can get Win7, Home Premium should do you just fine. Ultimate is overboard, IMO.
