Can somebody explain this to me? When I was a kid, I liked the music of Bachman Turner Overdrive (BTO) but never expressed a desire to meet them in person. In fact, if they walked down the street towards me back in 1975, I wouldn’t even know who they were. But I would be able to identify “Roll On Down The Highway” in two notes.

I know what you mean.Ritchie Blackmore is my favourite guitarist by a country mile.However,personality wise he sounds like a knob.I've no real interest in meeting him.

Then again,I'm not friends with him on facebook and back in the early seventies we weren't bombarded with images of our favourite musos 24/7 like these days.

Music was and is great,but there are other things in life as well.These days kids get wrapped up in these stars and their attitudes.
