Yeah, I use open source when I can. Have one client that I regularly have to submit stuff to in Powerpoint, so I’m still somewhat stuck with ‘em.

Have you tried LibreOffice Impress for compatibility with that?

IIRC, OpenOffice can export files in PowerPoint format from their OO equivalent to PP. (I know that OO Writer can export in Word format and that OO Calc can export .xls format files.) You may not be as “stuck” with Office as you think you are.
