I thought the school said too much because the kid is only 8-but the grandparents got in too much of a snit as well. It is a private school, and if they don’t like the dress code, or the way the faculty interprets it, there are other private schools to send the child to. Let me guess-they have already spoken to a lawyer who has shown them visions of a large settlement...

And if the kid is making such a fuss about wanting to be a boy-she needs to be told she is a girl, period, and if she keeps it up, and causes any more chaos she needs an ass beating-not a therapist. I said as much, because that is what I believe-your gender is whatever is in your genes/jeans, and children should not be subjected to confusion about it-they are not adults-they learn from adults.

i was put off by the fact that i read on another thread that the grandmother said something like, if she is homosexual or transgender we will love her all the more. why is that even being brought up unless that is something that is part of the issue here? this is not hairstyle and dresscode violations going on here, and the school is hamstrung from saying all that has been going on, bc she is a minor. So the grandparents are out there blathering their version of this and the news always eager to bash the Christians for being neanderthals, are happy to oblige.
