The existing abuse of females is the worst and most pervasive and unaddressed human rights violation on earth, says former President Jimmy Carter, who is making the rounds of various news shows to promote his new book, A Call to Action: Women, Religion, Violence, and Power.
Carterrepeating something hes stated previouslysaid the abuse is indirectly derived from the fact that religious leaders say that women are inferior in the eyes of God, which is a false interpretation of the Holy Scriptures. But when they see that the pope, and the Southern Baptist Convention and others say that women cant serve as priests and so forth equally with men, they say, Well, and Ill treat my wife the way I want to because shes inferior to me.

You can reason with the monkey. Huge difference.
How did Billy manage to put up with such as boob for a brother?
What a babbling idiot. He is so happy to hear he may not be the worst president. NO WOMEN PRIESTS EVER!! Amen.
If anyone says that women are inferior, they are 100% wrong. The Catholic Church isn't saying that women are "inferior", though. That plainly isn't true. The Catholic Church is saying that women are different. And we are.
My wife can’t be a priest, so I can treat her any way that I want.......whose logic is that???
Will this man never die?! For Christ’s sake must we be tortured by the Ex-Democrat presidents who refuse to STFU and go away?
Maybe he lusts in his heart for a woman dressed up as a priest.

I don’t know any religious leader who has said any such thing! I know that the Pope has never said anything like that.
No fool like an old fool. And jimmy carter is an evil old fool.
The SBC, the LDS, the Catholic Church, et al should be kicking people like him out of their churches.
Someone should open up an "old politician's home" somewhere (way, way out in the woods) for people like Carter and McCain and Pelosi, (etc.), where they can just sit around all day, and endlessly say goofy things to each other, and the rest of us won't have to listen to them.
They need to spell Pope with a CAP “P” and Jimmy Carter as jimmy carter for obvious reasons. BTW the Vatican Counsel chastised the Admin (make that the Dims) for their anti- Christian positions against faith. So jimmy is defending the religious attacks of his party. I still like brother billy better. The Dims just love to violate the Constitution.
ah Those were the days!
The Vatican has given the Obama Regime harsh criticism through the Vaticans chief justice, Cardinal Raymond Burke. Burke was the former archbishop of St. Louis and his words reflect his great concern for our country. I am sure Carter has taken up the sword for his Commie allies in the Obama Regime with his criticism of the Pope. Here are Burke’s words that, I am sure, reflect the Vatican’s view of the Ohama Regime:
It is true that the policies of the president of the United States have become progressively more hostile toward Christian civilization. He appears to be a totally secularized man who aggressively promotes anti-life and anti-family policies
Now he wants to restrict the exercise of the freedom of religion to freedom of worship, that is, he holds that one is free to act according to his conscience within the confines of his place of worship but that, once the person leaves the place of worship, the government can constrain him to act against his rightly-formed conscience, even in the most serious of moral questions,
Burke took a swipe against Obamas Affordable Care Act over the laws birth control mandate, saying such policies would have been unimaginable in the United States even 40 years ago.
In a democracy, such a lack of awareness is deadly. It leads to the loss of the freedom which a democratic government exists to protect. It is my hope that more and more of my fellow citizens, as they realize what is happening, will insist on electing leaders who respect the truth of the moral law as it is respected in the founding principles of our nation.
Burke also believes there is hope that abortion will be overturned in the U.S.
There is hope that the evil anti-life laws of the United States can be overthrown and that the anti-life movement which urges yet more of such legislation can be resisted, Burke said. The pro-life movement in the United States has been working since 1973 to reverse the unjust decision of the Supreme Court which struck down state laws prohibiting procured abortion. It is true that the Supreme Court decision stands, but it is also true that the pro-life movement has grown ever stronger in the United States, that is, that more and more citizens, especially young citizens, have been awakened to the truth about the grave evil of procured abortion.
Of course Jimmy Carter sides with the immoral demons of evil in our precious land of liberty. He is a Marxist scoundrel that almost drove our country to the ground. That is why I call them DemonRATs. You always know they are up to no good by the droppings the leave behind.
The SBC didn't turn out JEC. His church in Plains, GA, disaffiliated with the SBC back in the 1990s and now affiliates with the CBF - Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. As other Freepers have commented, the CBF permits ordination of female pastors.
Thank God we have Jimmy Carter around to tell The Pope how things should be in the Catholic Church.
Do I need the sarcasm tag???
Maybe Jimmuh Carter can join his “brothers” in the Westburo Baptists to declare that God Hates Catholics (just like the Southern Democrats who used to ride around at night in white bedsheets did).
Drove him to drink?
Why, Jimmeh: I thought you believed in scripture.
1st Corinthians 14:34-37
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
