Education Secretary Arne Duncan on NBCs Meet the Press Sunday said it was worth considering giving student athletes a free graduate school education in addition to the free ride they already get for undergrad.
Yeah, I think thats really important. People talk about helping them graduate from college. Yes, they should do that, but M.B.A., you know Masters, PhD, having some ability for the rest of your life to go back and get education. I think thats something worth considering. Some folks are talking about the medical expenses long term. I think thats a fair question on the table, Duncan said during a segment on whether student athletes should be paid to play.

Well, I think that Duncan ought to be put as far away from education decisions as possible.

Most of them shouldn’t be in college anyway. They major in worthless degrees like urban studies or some other BS (not meaning bachelor of science) degree.

Sounds like a way for a school to have winning squads and experienced players stick around even longer. Thus more money from almuni. Thus bigger athletic programs. So that pro sports have more “mature” players when the time comes for them to go.

I think it is a travesty that they pretend athletes are actually students. i know there are many exceptional student athletes, but a very large percentage of them are not. Nothing makes my ears bleed more than listening to interviews of athletes.

How about we cut ALL taxpayer funding from ALL college sports programs and let the people who go to the games pay for the new shiny stadiums?
And do the same damn thing for professional sports teams as well.

I have watched NCAA b-ball and football become dominated by black athletes since the 1970s. Close followers of football lay the blame with FSU coach Bobby Bowden leading the way with his "Criminoles". The news accounts of their worthless degrees, low graduation rates, and crime sprees make me wretch. I am so tired of the tribal tatooes on all college athletes. It amazes me that so many white folk still patronize these sports.

He was a Roman poet credited with 16 known poems divided between 5 books; all are in the Roman genre of Satire, which, at its most basic in the time of the author, comprised a wide-ranging discussion of society and social mores.

Ahole Arne knows what he's talkin’ about. He use to play pick-up games of basketball with obozo in Chicago, and that's how obozo and he met...obozo was trollin’ for sexual partners, and along comes Arne. Now, you know Arne had to be complicit in some fashion, ‘cause obozo doesn't give out perks without gettin’ his big time.
Put this ahole’s name on the list of lefties to be reckoned with when we drag these socialist/communist/marxist aholes out of OUR White House.

What rock has that ass hat been living under for all these years? “Athletes” have been getting free education for years and adding “grad” school to the mix is just more of he same. Like the people who REALLY contribute to the GNP, let them get a job and pay for their own schooling.

Duncan is kissing the azz of his master obozo by fostering another ridiculous “in your face” handout to blacks. obozo is bound and determined to make up for all the “injustices” to HIS people, by shoving crap policies down OUR throats..
obozo is obsessed on “evening the score”, getting even with whitey, by giving away our hard earned money to his idols, “athletes”, of which he fancies himself to one of as well...you know, basketball. obozo is displaying crazy behavior, and that becomes evident with every passing day. he has to be removed, period.
