He said the last time a pro-marriage speaker visited the campus, someone told him “they wanted to kill themselves.”

For God's sake do not go the Federal Govt's CDC website!! What you will find is that MSM - (Men having sex with men) is a deadly lifestyle. Anus sex is deadly and documented.

"Their viewpoint kills people"?

How many lives have been cut short because of the homosexual lifestyle (starting with AIDS but including lots of other pathologies)?

Anyone else notice that the students who were quoted as supporting the right of SAS to hold their conference have only given their first names, but those opposed have given full names? Gee, I wonder why that is. Perhaps those who favor free speech rights for everyone, and not just for liberals fear reprisal from the oh-so tolerant lefties who make up the majority of the Stanford community?

Just further proof that liberals favor free speech much like the Puritains in the Massachusetts Bay Colony favored freedom of religion.

Free speech — to the Left — has always meant shouting down opposing viewpoints.

From the article: “The idea that they are learning how to deliver their message scares [me].”

Exactly. Militant homosexual groups have been framing both sides of this issue, painting the pro-marriage side as haters and bigots and pro-discrimination. Once the pro-marriage arguments are heard, it becomes clear that the homosexual activists have been lying and people will begin to support the pro-marriage side of the issue.

The SAS is clear on its website that it “respects the dignity of all persons, irrespective of sexual orientation, and denounces all attempts to use the debate surrounding this conference to promote demeaning and derogatory attitudes toward members of the Stanford LGBT community.” The group states explicitly that anyone who speaks in a disrespectful way about homosexuals during the event will be asked to leave.

And what of homosexualists who ridicule "puritanical" couples and "breeders"?
