Yeah, a really young movement, like, no older than the Bible itself, huh? Also besides Bishop Ussher, who calculated the 4004 BC biblical chronologies from Adam and Eve thru Jesus Christ, we also have the #1 scientist of all time, Sir Isaac Newton hisself, who also believed the literal Genesis account and calculated the ages too.

Newton gives a fairly extensive statement of his theism in the famous GENERAL SCHOLIUM at the very end of the Principia. He says, e.g., "This most beautiful system of the sun, planets, and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being."

This is already at variance with Genesis which describes the creation of light, night and day, earth with its vegetation, and only then the "lights in the firmament, including the sun.

And then immediately following ... "And if the fixed stars are the centres of other like systems, these, being formed by the like wise counsel, must be all subject to the dominion of One; ..."

This is going well beyond Genesis!
