“I don’t understand ROKU.”

ROKU is essentially an aggregator streaming service that operates through an internet-connected box you connect to your TV. After you buy the ROKU box you pay ROKU nothing further. However, you DO sign up and utilize streaming services such at netflix and amazon prime, but those services connect to your ROKU box so that when you select things you want to stream from the netflix, amazon prime or other websites, they’ll then show up LISTED on your ROKU box where you can then start them at your leisure to actually stream in and appear on your TV.

So basically I have the same thing now. Hundreds of services like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon are all on the devices I have already. Many are free, most are not. ROKU more or less consolodates many, if not all of them.
