I’m getting old, I think. When I see “senior”, I expect to read that the senior was 80+, not just 64.
Senior is “over 55” nowadays...that’s the McDonald’s break on coffee costs...Senior Drinks etc.
As for Wilkesboro, NC....interesting place...hmmm?. This is near Boone in the Mountains.
I like North Wilkesboro, a nice place, I love the library up there, best geneology in NC except for Raleigh archives.
They are 2 different towns side by side in upper western NC.
A clue for you - 55 is considered senior in many circles these days especially at restaurants and other business's as well.
Personally I've been accepting the 'senior discount' benefits of this practice for a number of years now. When I first hit the double nickel I (naturally) resented the implications but now have now come to accept it as a part of the 'maturing' process. Heh heh. Besides every little bit helps when you're retired living alone and eat out a lot.
i have siblings in the mid-60s age bracket... they hardly look what comes to my mind when i think of senior citizens... in any case, i am glad that the right person was arrested...
Ditto. The other day while out cruising with my significant other, I made a snide remark about some driver who was driving erratically. Probably some old idiot I remarked to the wife. She said, "you're in that age range, and you probably qualify on both counts." She had me there.
Same here.
