3M Aerospace Honors Military on Biffle’s car:

3M’s Aerospace Division will make its racing debut this Sunday at Auto Club Speedway onboard Greg Biffle’s #16 Ford Fusion. Aerospace products from 3M are used in a wide range of applications, from commercial airlines to business jets to military aircraft. Biffle’s Ford will proudly show 3M’s thanks to those men and women serving the U.S. Armed Forces with a Salute to the Armed Forces. Many of 3M’s employees are proud veterans or actively serve in the guard or reserves. The 3M Ford Fusion hood will showcase the five medallions of the different branches of military service, while the car will feature a vehicle wrap in camo design from 3M Commercial Solutions. Many 3M products are used in military applications. Polyurethane tapes help protect rotor blades from damage caused by rain, sand and debris during landing. Wings sealed with 3M’s polysulfide sealants, a lighter-weight sealant, allow for a more fuel efficient aircraft. 3M’s E-A-R brand thermal acoustic products increase cabin comfort by decreasing noise levels inside the plane. 3M Aviation Window Restoration Systems by Clearfix help the military to repair polycarbonate and acrylic windows in theater, allowing aircraft to return to a mission-ready-status faster.(Roush Fenway Racing), see an image of the car on the #16 team paint schemes page.(3-19-2014)
