She should have paid for it in the first place.

This is the problem with social justice. People begin to believe they’re doing something good when they take from someone else to give to the less fortunate but there is no personal sacrifice which renders the gesture meaningless.

I believe Pope Benedict said that social justice was demonically inspired for that reason. Its false salvation.

This is precisely the point that was made in the classic statement and analysis given by Dinesh D'Souza in this clip -

D'Souza illustrates the moral aspect brilliantly.

The implications are true on the macro economic level all the way down to the free cup of coffee.
