The difference between now and the past history is that we no longer have the same taboos that used to protect children in the past. Today this type of behavior is becoming more and more accepted. We have pedophile political parties in parts of Europe. We have the gay lobby trying to lower the age of consent. The Supreme court has ruled in NAMBLA’s favor saying it is ok if they express the many ways to rape little boys. It is protected speech.
Civilization cannot withstand this type of abuse against it’s most innocent. It destroys the very souls of nations. I have to wonder how much all this hyper sexualization in films and TV of our children is pushed because there are sinister intentions directed of the youngest among us. Why else would schools, govt and Hollywood push sick crap. Sex education in schools is little more than porn these days.
What taboos are you talking about that are protecting little girls in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc? And what taboos are protecting those little boys that our servicemen in Afghanistan talk about (namely our “allies”)?
No, I don’t think kids were protected in the past more so than they are now. And we have major and significant countries (in terms of their population numbers) who promote this kind of thing we’re reading about as their “right” — in terms of their “values” that they are not going to allow anyone in the USA dictate any differently to them.
