Well, the guy was an idiot then. I just picked up two policies from UnitedHealthCare - a Part D plan (on Medicare) and a Medigap plan. I called UnitedHealthCare because they are the insuring company - and not the website I signed up on (which was the Medicare site).
I got confirmation directly from the insurance company, had it mailed to me in writing and they sent me cards on it.
This guy is just too dumb to live!
