If he took it into the Bay of Bengal or somewhere in the Indian Ocean going about six, 700 knots vertical, just like Flight 93, the pieces of the airplane would be the size of your thumb.

I would love love to see evidence for THAT assertion.

IIRC, the valujet crash into the Everglades left only the engines in any size or form. 10 feet under the swamp was limestone, and the plane just disappeared. I dont think they ever found much, if any human remains.

Yeah, ever since 9/11, giant planes filled with people just vaporize in crashes.

I blame global warming.

Real life provides enough evidence. Off the top of my head, USAir 427 crashed vertically (80 degrees) at an airspeed of approximately 260 knots. This aircraft weighed about five times as much, so if it’s traveling twice as fast then the energy is now twenty times as much. The debris from 427 was very small, so it is not only possible but likely that if a 777 crashed in the way this pilot describes, it would be in incredibly small pieces.

Soooooo...you have a death fight with the co-pilot during which time the plane plummets 30,000 - 40,000 feet. You
kill the co-pilot and fly on for 6 more hours and once all fuel is exhausted, you then plunge the plane into the surf.

Not sure I buy that or not.

I guess you haven’t seen many jet crashes. I have and they end up the size of cornflakes. Human remains are usually chips of bone or a tooth somewhere. I found what was left of an A-7 that hit the side of a mountain. All that was left was a scorched area of burned brush and little bits of painted aluminum.
