I had no idea 19th century artists signed their work in spray paint.

You break it you bought it.
To: skeeter
Yes, the Greco-Romans liked to tag their art.

“Fortunately, the statue is a copy located in the academys hallway leading to a room full of more valuable works of the most famous sculptors of the era”
Sounds like if it wasnt the original it’s not priceless or anything. Just the media once again trying to make a big story out no story to me.

Oh joy, another selfie. How very original.
To: rawhide
“Sorry I broke you statue.”
“It was priceless!”
“Oh, good.”
“You don’t understand. It was very old.”
“Oh, what a relief!”
To: V_TWIN
A couple bucks worth of super glue, and the statue will be as good as new.

Reminds me of this from last year.
Hikers Destroy 200 Million Year Rock Formation, Celebrate (Video)
A group of hikers high-fived after one of them intentionally pushed over a large rock, which is part of the "goblins" or "hoodoos" formation, and is nearly 200 million years old. The men filmed one of their buddies referred to as "Glenn" pushing the giant rock from behind.

One dumb carver. No wonder it took him 20 years. ;-)
Hate to say it....Looked at the picture maybe 3 or 4 times. Hollow marble?? never even dawned on me.
To: rawhide
Probably the same kid who busted the arms off this one....Now it's worthless

Apparently, architects and builders, railway workers, garbage collectors and park workers all over Italy do the same thing.
