not only that but what is 13.8 billion years. Einstein, and modern quantum physics demonstrates that time is a physical property, and has not been constant over the life of our universe. In fact, the multiple indicates that as time has changed speeds .14 billion years might equal about 6 thousand years today.
Just sayin .
So to your point, how does God measure "time" when existence is eternal?
If it is true that the expansion of the universe is slowing down, and speed in the universe is a function of time, one could postulate that your comment has merit. Our galaxy is traveling through the universe at a speed. Our solar system is traveling in our galaxy at a speed. And our planet is traveling in our solar system at a speed. Per the theories, could it be that "time" has changed over the last 13 billion years?
If your head is spinning now, see a priest. :o)
I’ve wondered the same, that time may have a non-linear quality. Perhaps inflation is related to this quality?
Agreed. Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity predicted both black holes and a single white hole, at the very beginning of the universe. A white hole would be relativistic and move much faster than the speed of light, in the exact opposite direction of a black hole, expanding instead of contracting.
Isa 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
Psa 104:2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
From the earth it would appear that the heavens were being stretched out like a curtain they were moving so fast. That’s how 6000 years could elapse on earth, while apparently billions of years could elapse via these relativistic effects.
It’s all about faith. Whom do we love and fear more, God or man? Do we call God a liar or man a liar? As for me and my house...
