PHOENIX (Reuters) - An Arizona judge on Monday set a September court date to try again to determine whether convicted murderer Jodi Arias will be put to death for killing her ex-boyfriend nearly six years ago, court officials said.
Arias was convicted by a jury in May 2013 of murdering Travis Alexander, whose body was found slumped in the shower of his suburban Phoenix home in June 2008. He had been stabbed multiple times, shot in the face and had his throat slashed.
But the jury deadlocked on whether the former California waitress should be executed or face life in prison.

This to me is why men need to learn to start abstaining. I believe that if Travis had been abstinent he wouldn’t have hooked up with Jodi and ended up stalked and then dead.

He wasn’t just dating her, he was doing all sorts of sick stuff with her. She was all for it, but she was only becoming more and more crazy as Travis made it more clear that he wasn’t going to marry her and was just using her. He didn’t break it off completely, even after she was stalking and vandalizing and threatening, he still porked her even on the day she decided to murder him!
I mean really, for pity’s sake!
The minute she started stalking his friends, he should have taken legal action. If he had called the police and filed reports and filed a restraining order, I am dead sure she would have been caught out and locked up for a while.
All that and he still had the horny hots for her. Stupid.
I’ve been abstinent for nearly ten freaking years and I daresay that it’s saved me from a lot of crazies.

I meant the principle and I never condone murder. I thought FR was a place where abstinence is supposedly supported. If he hadn’t been bonking her and letting her get away with stalking, I THINK he might still be alive.
I’m female; I am alive because I am clear minded and I believe that abstinence is a result of that. I’ve been through a lot and I am glad I decided long ago to avoid sexual intimacy.
Murder is a direct violation of God’s will for His plan for the murdered person’s life. Jodi murdered a promising man who was making a positive difference and in my view, the wench deserves much worse than the needle.
The jury failed to do the right thing.

Men who play around take enormous risks. Saddled with financial (and emotional, if not a jerk) responsibility for a child for at least 18 years, STDs, charges of date rape that cannot be fully refuted, and the not totally impossible chance of a psycho that kills you.
Women who sleep around of course take even greater risks. They’re a lot more likely to get killed, for instance. They can, however, at their sole discretion get rid of any pregnancies that result.
Sex only with a marital partner, or at minimum with someone you’ve actually developed a caring relationship with before jumping into the sex greatly reduces these risks.
