That sounds like my father in Detroit, except his epiphany has yet to happen. As far as my dad is concerned, race relations in America are the same as during the Eisenhouer administration.
I want to ask you something. Even if race relations were as bad as they were during Eisenhower's administration, how can he go along with homosexual fanaticism and the left's ridicule of what is supposed to be his own religion? Why do race relations trump every other consideration?
I'm asking this honestly. And btw, my ancestors were Southern Unionists who have been Republican since Lincoln.
Very sorry to hear this about your dad, however there are MANY people
in Detroit and Chicago that ARE WAKING UP!!! Many town halls being held and they are RISING UP!!!! Pubbies need to get their arses into these
neighborhoods and START talking some common sense to these folks!!!!
The really polarized Democratic strongholds, I don’t know what to do about, how we will ever make progress. I am near one, and the difference between the black folk from here in the town I am in, and the folks who move here from there is mind-boggling. You can tell in five seconds by body language. You just wish there could be an orientation class: Welcome to InMemoriam’sTown - the police don’t hate you here, people will say Hi to you here, and you can say Hi back, you can apply for jobs and eventually you’ll get one, it could go on and on...
God bless your dad; he’s probably seen a lot and has some of the pain the Pastor dad has. I cut some slack to people who have racism branded into them by violence, black or white.
