In my opinion, and I’m more of a layperson than a theological expert, the anti-Christ will not be an outwardly evil person. He may be kindly, warm, and friendly. But he will stand in opposition to Christ’s message. He will serve to negate Christ and deliver men away from Christ. He’ll speak a secular message designed to fool people into a false salvation.

If a crook walks up to you wearing a mask and holding a gun you’ll resist but if he wears a suit and a smile he’ll pick your pocket clean.

That’s why I think some people focus on the secular message of Jesus and ignore the spiritual teachings. They want the motion of salvation of which they won’t receive. If deeds alone...

Yah. Accurate observation. I learned a long time ago that one of the most dangerous entities on earth is the Devil with a Bible in his hands. Especially a NIV or other "dynamically translated" tome out of the Westcont &Hort/Nestle-Aland/ UBS critical Greek synthetic text.
