Thank you, and thank you! While driving from our estimate, and deep in the middle of nowhere-turn off the paved road- I suddenly saw an old barn on a corner that I’d seen twice in a dream last week, and the whole dream flashed into my mind-I said turn here, and my compadre turned the truck and said so, now tell me-what did you dream, so I told him-we have worked together for nearly 15 years, so he is used to my dreams about stuff that hasn’t happened yet-we’ve even gotten work from those dreams a time or two...
We followed the whole route of the dream and came to a derelict metal barn perfect for a business, on acreage and it was for sale-the only thing different was that he and I were riding horses when we saw it in the dream-not in his truck, and I said I didn’t think it mattered-horses are a good symbol. I took down the info, and our spirits were lifted, brainstorming the rest of the trip about our plans to go galt, now that we are on the right track-our own little co-op/commune far into BFE sounds good-but oh, what to call it?
Thank you-God is good-it will come around.
I don’t marinate steaks, but I do marinate pork and venison roasts in a concoction that contains wine, cedar/juniper berries and a bunch of other spices-and olive oil-I’ve never marinated meat in beer...
I’m partial to “Vista de Nada.”
Would not eat duck on a dare. I’ve used it to cook steamed slice shrimp though and that’s good.
Too depressing-if there isn’t a view of something in the literal sense, what is the point of the place?
My compadre is stuck on something from Ayn Rand’s book, but I’m pretty sure that every other co-op has a name like that.
This is the area with names like Starvation Hill, Ghost Lane, Phillipa’s Lane, Gun Sight road, Bump Gate ranch, Ambush Creek ranch, etc-descriptive, if lacking in imagination...
Country Dreamworks? Custom Dreamworks?
I like that-and it would fit just about any business run from a home, too-anything even vaguely creative...
You used duck to cook shrimp?
I have made bread using beer - it was denser than other breads (at least mine was!)
u r an @$$ : )
Yes. It is best in chunks, served with stew, or chile.
