Isn’t this just legal double-talk?
According to two successive sentences in the article:
1. His sentence can be reduced by 15% by putting him on “supervised release”.
2. Theere is no “parole” in the federal justice system.
What makes “supervised release” different from “parole”? Isn’t being paroled being released conditionally under the supervision of a parole officer?

Parole = Early release for Good Behavior
