This is crazy. It’s like everybody out there is dying.

One of my favorite lines of his - The first time I went to LA, I saw a NY steak on the menu. In NY, there is no such thing as a NY steak so I asked the waiter, “What’s a NY steak? A piece of meat with dirt on it?!!”
Thanks for the laughs, David. Many laughs.

Here's a great video where David discusses how he got into comedy (that's not what he thought he would do)...

I just saw this and came right here to say RIP David Brenner.
I still remember the first time I saw him on TV. He did a great routine about how to commit the perfect murder. Just do it in NYC and throw the body into the morning rush hour crowds. The corpse eventually ends up on a school trip to the Bronx Zoo!

A very funny man ... although I don’t think I’ve seen him since the last time he was on the Carson show. I stopped watching that when Johnny retired.

He was probably the first comedian I remember seeing as a kid. I remember he was always on the Mike Douglas Show which was in Philly and Brenner was a Philly guy. Didn’t hear much from him lately but he seemed like a funny guy back then.
