How can they lack all empathy? What pleasure do the derive from inflicting pain? I have had to put a couple of mice out of their misery after finding them half-dead when my little cat was learning her business. I nearly retched each time. And these were MICE. How is hitting an old lady fun?

And O/T, but there's an extra penalty when the victim is over 60?
I don't disagree with it, but it seems like doing this to ANY helpless or feeble person should be the crime.
The fact that one victim was 98 makes it all the more sickening.
I can only imagine what the victim's grandkids would like to do to these perps.
