I'm cannot seem to find this article posted here yet, so I thought I'd mention it.

It further illustrates just how much scrutiny and pressure the DOJ is continuing to use as a means of intimidating Sheriff Joe. It also makes me wonder whether there are DOJ-friendly operatives among the MCSO's staff.

I remain somewhat fascinated by how practically every tiny development related to Sheriff Joe and the MCSO is considered worthy of wide national news coverage (the above story can be found everywhere), except anything concerning the CCP/MCSO investigation of Obama's background. We almost never see these Arpaio-hating newsies decrying and ridiculing him and Mike Zullo for Zullo's seemingly endless boasts about imminent developments from an investigation that has produced next-to-nothing for the past two years. This would seem especially true given that now Zullo has let slip that the MCSO has allocated publicly funded resources to matters that have developed indirectly from the Birth Certificate investigation.

It makes me wonder if news editors far and wide have been asked to keep all items related to the Obama background/birth certificate fraud case completely off the radar. Otherwise, I would think they would be salivating over a chance to shout from the mountaintops that Joe is now spending public funds on his politically motivated conspiracy theory and just keeps delaying and postponing when it comes to having something to show for his efforts.

On the other hand, I suppose the silence is just as likely because newsrooms don't pay close enough attention to report on anything going on unless they get a news release emailed to them through the Journo-List or by some trusted liberal entity. But, that still doesn't explain why those trusted liberal entities aren't pushing some good ol' Arpaio defamation over this matter.
