hey, hobbes says— don’t worry be happy. I am sorry but i fail to see the benefit when the enemies of the church are embracing him. Jesus preached to sinners, but they didn’t flock to him because they thought he was accepting of their lifestyle choices. Hey this Jesus guy is alright, he won’t JUDGE US. we can be gay as all get out. Where is the GO AND SIN NO MORE with this guy? to say that— to say they are sinning would be to JUDGE them, would it not?

was a day long program, presentations and then— you will like this: a group project. They were organized into groups of 10, and they were given a hypothetical— that their plane crashed in the middle of uninhabited canada and they could salvage 10 things to take with them to survive. They were to make their own individual list and then the group had to come to a consensus on the 10 things. he said there were people there taking notes on their interactions. He said he spoke up a moderate amount, more than most, but was not one of the BOSSY ones who did all the talking and were attempting to “look good.”

10 things in general or ten things that would happen to have been on the plane?

Is wanting a gun and a knife so you can eat a sign of being a wacko?

But on the ice, not so easy to see their “babeness.”

not sure, but obviously the impetus was to see the interaction in a group, who was the leader, persuasive skills etc.

divorce and remarriage is also in the mix. Again, i suppose the clarity with which the Bible speaks of these things is of little import when the aim is to fit with the TIMES and contemporary mores. Divorce does not preclude communion, it's the remarriage and subsequent adulterous relationship that precludes it.

No snow days here-it is getting up to 60 or so by afternoon, but it is freezing, or near freezing at night...

The only thing I really want to do
For those people who are now awake
Since Obamacare came to bite them
Is to give them a nice hard shake

The chimerical world they embraced
As seen through their rosy glasses
Never existed for the rest of us
And we didn’t ask for any passes

So let them pay the high premiums
We’ve been warning about for years-
I’m sure most of us are enjoying
All their howling and their tears...

I’m don’t opine on the matter of divorce and remarriage, having done so myself-I’ll just say that you can’t force a partner to honor the marriage contract when they are determined not to do so, and I don’t believe the other partner should forego the sacraments because of that.

My marriage to MrT5 was the second for both of us, we were married by a Catholic priest, and we went to Mass and received Holy Communion on a regular basis, for whatever that is worth-my faith in God remains unchanged, no matter what life has dealt.

The Bible says what it says, the Church doctrine is what it is, and the people will do as they see fit. It is as it ever was. You cannot change what the Bible says, and Church doctrine should not bow to popular demand.

Nor would I choose to-we have free choice and a conscience-I would not trade the happiness I shared with MrT5 for any earthly thing. Some other people having a hard go of it now did not have that happiness and love-I did, and I am thankful.
